Living with the Times and Turning Bad into Good – A Message for All
Removing the Prison Bars of the Kotel and Bringing the Final Redemption
For anyone who has been following this blog, Leiv Esther is the women’s section of Yeshivas Dira BeTachtonim, a new Yeshiva focusing on how to live in this world so as to make a
If you have followed these stories and articles, you will already be familiar with the teaching that everything is divinely directed and there is a reason for everything that takes place. In addition to this, we are taught to learn from everyone and everything. A third teaching needs to be provided and then we will investigate this further, and that is that we are taught to live with the times, meaning with the Torah portion for the week and the specific Yom Tov that is taking place.
Just recently we had Gimmel Tamuz, the Yartzheit of the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn; a date that has confused many, especially those who are close to the Rebbe. The night that we were alerted of the false site in place of ours, Rabbi Eliyahu had just placed an article explaining the 12th and 13th of Tamuz, the time that comemorates the Previous Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak’s release from prison. It is a time leading up to the Fast of Tamuz which begins the three weeks, during which time Am Yisrael – the nation of Israel, goes into mourning for the loss of our Temple.
It is a time where we just read the Torah Portion entitled Balak. The name of the Parsha is one of only 6 that are named after people. In the Ma’ayan Chai (adapted teachings of the Rebbe’s Sichos for ease of understanding especially for children), the Lubavitcher Rebbe asks why the Torah would name a section after the most wicked of all the non-Jews. The answer given is that it demonstrates that even through this wickedness comes good, for Balak is the grandfather of Ruth who is the great grandmother of King David and through him a direct line to the Melech HaMoshiach, the King Moshiach our Righteous Redeemer.
For anyone who reads the Tanya daily, during this time we also began reading the section of Iggeret HaTshuva (repentance). This section shows how the path to repentance is to recognise what G-d wants from us and also to return to His ways.
So how can we put all this together with the fact that the main blog Dwelling Place Below has been “sabotaged” by Christian missionaries? If everything has a reason, a Divine purpose, what can this possibly be?
The Previous Rebbe instituted a request for all Jews to take time each day to read the section of the Torah, the section of the Tanya and the section of Tehillim related to that day. There is a specific way that all three are divided to cover every day of the week, every week of the year. In doing so, we as Jews learn how to live with the times. We learn what it is that G-d wants of us and how to strengthen ourselves so as to fulfil His will, thus assisting to make a
For those who are not Jewish, there is a way. But it is not through the teaching of the site that tried to take over ours. Yes, they are right, we do need to learn from the Bible, but it must be the authentic truth. The place to learn is from the Torah itself and not from all the other versions that try to make the Bible fit with the world that they want but rather to help us correct our ways so as to live with what G-d wants from us.
The Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe had a large campaign to teach those who are not Jewish what it is that G-d wants from us. For Jews there is a major responsibility with 613 Mitzvos or commandments to follow. For non-Jews there are the Seven Mitzvos Bnei Noach for the sons of Noach. One of these laws is “Thou Shalt Not Steal”
If we are to learn from the Torah or the Bible, we have to admit that G-d does not want us to steal. We are therefore forbidden to take over the site of another. No matter how important we think our message is, if we want to learn the ways of G-d, G-d says “NO! That is not the world I want. I want each person on earth to recognise the worth of the other and to recognise that I provide for every being according to his needs and thou shalt not take from your neighbour or another.”
If by G-d’s direction, you tried visiting the blogspot
http://dwellingplacebelow.blogspot.com and you found Torah articles with photographs of the rebbes, other inspirational articles and truth, keep reading. It has a little something for everyone and will help you in your journey. If on the other hand, you accidentally switched two of the letters around and found a site with a wolf on the top and something about Mega Bible, Christian missionary something, please know you have been misdirected not by G-d, for G-d does not lead astray, but by the Sitra Achra, the Evil Inclination. What you need to do is keep searching. Check your spelling and the letters of the blogspot address. If this does not work and you are Jewish and searching, please look back to any of the many wonderful websites and blogs that contain authentic Torah teaching. If you are not Jewish, please take a look at any of the following and learn about the Seven Laws for all those who are sons of Noach, i.e. anyone who is not Jewish.

The Torah teaches that every letter has a purpose and meaning and it only functions correctly when in the position that Hashem placed it to be. If you read the Torah correctly or type in your domain names correctly, you follow the correct path. If you switch even one letter around, you will end up with a different meaning or a different site all together and this will lead you on a whole different path, unfortunately away from Hashem.
One can feel sorry for the Sitra Achra, the Evil Inclination for when the Final Redemption comes, he will be out of a job. However, even the Sitra Achra is serving Hashem. How does he do this, when it appears that he is sending you in the opposite direction to what G-d wants? Yet it is that without darkness we would not be able to appreciate the light and the beauty. Without difficulties and trials we somehow would not manage to work that bit harder to come closer to Hashem. As the teaching goes, the decent, the going down is for the purpose of going up to a higher level.
If you have done any field events or athletics, you might know that many times one takes a step or two backwards in order to jump further or higher. So it is in the spiritual realm that in order to go higher and closer to Hashem, one goes down or away but this is only in order to jump closer in the long run.
For this reason, even though it appears bad and readers might be encountering information that is not the intention of Yeshivas Dira BeTachtonim, if you follow the message correctly, it will be purely to show you what not to follow and to force you to search harder to find the truth as outlined above. In doing so, you will turn the darkness into light by saying no to falsity and yes to truth. This is the real message of Balak, that even the lowest darkest negativity will in the end be turned to the greatest light, by elevating the fallen, scattered shards back to where they came from, i.e. the light of Hashem.
We see clearly from this how careful we have to be in this world, even when writing a letter, spelling a name or entering a blog or web address. As Jews we have to be aware of what we are doing at all times, what the time is, what is expected of us at all times. As the Torah teaches in the laws of repentance, when we notice a mistake we have to admit it, sincerely regret the mistake and return to the path of Hashem.
It is ironic that this false blog page, has a picture of the Kotel on it. As we said we need to learn from everyone, and yes we need to remember the Kotel. Only as the Temple Institute teaches, it is not the Kotel we need to think of but what should be on the other side of it, that being the
Through this, may we all, all the nations both Jews and non-Jews find the right information to help us to behave and function according to the Will of Hashem and through this return to His will. May we be worthy of the Final Redemption and the revelation of Melech HaMoshiach, our Righteous Redeemer, now in our days. May we merit the building of the Third and Final Beis HaMikdash a place that brings peace to the world at large and will turn the days of mourning into days of joy.
