Our Recent Photographic Seminar

On the 4th November 2008 we had a successful and enlightening Photographic Seminar. Our Seminar was taught by Nissin Konikov and Evan Kotel, both experienced photographers with over 20 years of experience.

Our program was full, lively and interactive. We went over Ambient Lighting; Studio Lighting; How to set up studio lights; Posing for Portrait shots; we had the opportunity to take some photographs and to critique photographs. Photographers had the opportunity to meet with fellow photographers, to share ideas and to ask questions on how to improve in their studio photography.

As one of the photographers mentioned, she arrived as an amateur and by the end of the seminar, felt she had become a professional.

For photographers and those interested in photography who are in Israel, please let us know if you are interested in further seminars or in practical photography in nature.

The photographer Evan Kotel (pictured above) passed away suddenly one week after this seminar, on Nov 11 2008.

May his memory be blessed.

I realize this post is from 2008 and the likelihood of it being seen and being able to get more information is slim but...

Evan was a good friend of mind and before he moved to Israel, we used to get together quite frequently. In fact, he photographed my wedding shortly before he moved. When he first moved we kept in touch for a few years. Unfortunately we fell out of touch. I was searching online earlier today hoping to track him down and get back in touch with him when I came across this. I was shocked and saddened.

I am wondering if anyone has an more information and would be wiling to share it with me.

Thanks,

Gil

Hi Gil

Thank you for your comment. I am sorry you had to learn about the passing of your friend through this blog post.

I am not sure where his wife is now, but Nissin Konikov the other photographer to present was a friend of Evan's. You can email me via my website www.beahappymom.com and I can try to connect you with his wife.

Shoshanah
