Words of Prayer, Words of Kindness - 27

This weeks Words of Prayer, Words of Kindness and Tehillim reminder is prepared in the merit of Eliyahu ben Devorah Gitta for
Refuat HaNefesh and Refuat HaGuf

Shmiras HaLashon

"No word is lost, for all is recorded. Angels are sent to every person to note each and every word, and they never part from him. 'For the bird of the sky transmits the voice and the accompanying angel testifies.' (Koheles 1:20 (Excerpts from a letter by the Vilna Gaon)

If one contemplates the above thought makes us aware that even if we say something in private and think no-one else will know of it, still the words go up to Shamayim and are recorded.

Bitachon Thought

G-d has infinite compassion over everything He has made. An important concept taught by Rebbe Nachman and elsewhere in Chassidus, is that any time a person falls, whether wittingly or unwittingly, it is always direct by Heaven for the purpose of drawing the person closer or bringing them up to a higher level. This concept helps us to judge others and ourselves favourably and to know, when one is in a difficult situation, that the thing to do is to turn to Hashem in prayer and pour out your heart to Him of anything you have done that is keeping you far from Him and appeal to G-d to bring you closer.
(The Seven Pillars of Faith by Rabbi Yitzhak Breiter)

Tehillim Thought

Tehillim 2:8 "Ask it of Me, and I will give the nations as your inheritance: and the ends of the earth as your possession."

This verse is referring to David HaMelech that each time he went out to battle, G-d told him to pray to G-d prior to going out to battle and G-d would then help King David to be successful. As we read in 2 Samual 7:9 and I Chronicles 14: 17 that this is what King David did and hence his fame spread. G-d promised King David that not only would He deliver King David from neighbouring nations but from lands that are "at the ends of the earth as your possession." (Me'am Loez)
