Do YOU Enjoy Flowers?

Do you enjoy flowers? Ever think of what type of flowers you would like on your wedding day? Do you have a favourite flower?

We have a Kallah coming to Chuppah in about 2 weeks. Some items she needs are gradually coming together. Thank G-d we were able to give her the Tallit to give to her Chatan on their wedding day. But there are still items that are missing and this Kallah has no father to help her.

A friend of her family has kindly come forward to do her hair for her special day. However, the Kallah has 3 sisters and they also need their hair to look special. We have an offer from a hairstylist to do a discounted price of ₪50 sister which comes to ₪150

The Kallah would also really like some white roses with a few red flowers on her special day. I am happy to prepare the bouquet for her but need a sponsor for the flowers.

The new couple are in need of a set of linen and a set of dishes and glasses to start their new home. They would also like a Shabbos urn.

The next major item they need is a set of beds. It's not pleasant to return home as newly weds to a rented apartment with no beds.

we have a target to raise ₪4600 towards obtaining these items for them. If anyone has maaser or Tzeddakah or new items to donate, please be in touch ASAP or visit our website

WIN an "I Love You" Teddy Bear TODAY!

Today is Tu B'Av the day on the Jewish calendar that is connected to love. It is a very special day and much can be written about it. The main theme of the day is enabling Jewish singles to meet and marry. So we are offering this lovely Teddy Bear to be raffled. All those who make a donation of ₪200 or more towards our latest orphaned Kallah by the end of Tu B'Av will be entered into the draw. We have already had this offer on the go for over a week via other social networking and only had 3 donors.

So hurry along and help in the very big MItzvah of enabling an orphan Kallah to marry and set up her home in dignity and you stand the chance to win this lovely "I Love You" Teddy. A reminder that there is love in the world and the world is in fact built on acts of loving kindness.

See our main page where you can see more about our orphaned Kallah and make a donation directly. Please mention that you wish to be added to the draw, and where you saw this or how you came to this blog so that we know that you have seen this posting. Only those mentioning this will be added to the draw.

Hashem helps His orphans!

It is very special to witness Hashem's guiding hand bringing Simchah to an orphan Kallah and her Chatan. After meeting the couple a week to 10 days ago, we began putting the word out for donations to help them have a beautiful wedding with dignity and to set up their new home with dignity of course. One of the items we asked for was a Tallit for the Kallah to give to her Chatan.

Within a few days we had an offer of a Tallit that is currently in an area of the Gush with a question as to whether we can find soemone who can bring it to Beitar Illit. Thanks to social networking we posted on the appropriate FB group and soon had a reply from someone in Jerusalem, asking if we could meet her there and whether a Sefardi Tallit would be OK.

"OK? It's perfect! The couple just happens to be Sefardi. But what size is it?"

Soon we heard the size of the Tallit, smaller than the size the Kallah had given us but just the size we thought it might be. The donor also kindly made a donation for the Tallit bag.

This morning we set off for a store to begin to look for a suitable Tallit bag in blue as the Kallah requested. In we walked and there, lookig at a few items is a familiar face. The Chatan, himself with his father.

We asked if he could try on the Tallit for size and told him the Kallah would be the one to give it to him if it fit. Yes, it was a perfect fit. Now came the next step, the search for a Tallit bag in the right price range.

We began looking in the blue bags and the Chatan joined us and asked if white or off white were possible as the Tallit is for the Chuppah and then will be used for Shabbos.

Off we went to a section with white, cream, beige Tallit bags and found one in a design he liked at exactly the amount that was donated.

This has completely been a case of witnessing Hashem's Hand in bringing Simchah to His children. After all, Hashem is the Father of orphans.

Next on our agenda is to find sponsors for the hair of the sisters of the Kallah. We have a special offer for just ₪50 per sister. With three sisters that means ₪150. We also need donations of new linen, flowers for the Kallah a Havdallah set and if we can manage, a set of beds.

Be a partner with Hashem and help to bring Simchah to an orphaned Kallah and her Chatan! Please visit our website and make a donation today. Chuppah is in just a few weeks, so time is of the essence.

If you have any brand new items to start their new home, please be in touch for that too.

Bring Simchah to a needy orphan Kallah

In just a few weeks, a couple will be coming to Chuppah in Yerushalayim Ir HaKodesh. Mazal Tov to them. Weddings are usually a happy occasion, a time for rejoicing and this wedding should be too. But it can only happen with YOUR help

The Kallah is one of 6 children. Her mother is hard working but brings in a minimum salary, covering only the basic monthly expenses leaving nothing to save for a dowry or her daughter's special day. The Kallah has no father and no contact with her father's family.

A few days ago, we met with the couple, both very sweet and sincere Yidden. So far they have a venue for the wedding, invitations, photography. Thanks to a kind donor, we have the potential for hair to be done for the Kallah.

We still need:
  •  a dress for the Kallah, shoes for the Kallah
  • dresses for the sisters and mother of the Kallah
  • flowers for the Kallah
  • Mitpachot or bandannas for the Kallah
  • toiletries, cleaning supplies and other new household items
  • they need everything to begin their new home

The Mitzvah of Hachnasat Kallah is a very important one and for a needy Kallah who has no father, even more so. Please give generously. If you have any new items, perhaps you received gifts you do not need, please be in touch ASAP. We have only a few weeks to the Chuppah, so time is of the essence.

If you have any  Maaser, Tzeddakah or new household items to donate, please visit our website and make a donation or be in touch via email to co-ordinate your donation.

May Hashem bless you abundantly for your kindness
