Two more of our Bridal Gowns

Here are two more of the bridal gowns that we obtained amongst the 60 bridal gowns. We really need a mannequin to display them adequately. We hope you are able to see the quality of the gowns from these photo's

We made inquiries as to whether there would be any Shatnes problem, especially for those bridal dresses that have shoulder pads and are happy to say that the bridal gowns / dresses are absolutely fine. One task completed on our list to progress further with our projects.

We are excited to have received our first donation towards setting up our bridal gowns in a Mechubad (respectful) manner. There are a number of details involved. Please visit our campaign, share it with your friends and make a donation too. Any amount will be most welcome. Of course a larger donation helps us reach our goals more quickly, but any contribution is very, very appreciated.

Assisting orphans with a FREE Bridal Gown!

The image above and directly below show two of the quality, modest, bridal gowns that we recently acquired, thanks to some very kind donors.

These bridal gowns are waiting to be arranged in a manner that is suitable for brides to come and take a look, try them on and borrow or rent.

Our plan is for orphan Kallot to borrow these dresses at cost of just the dry cleaning. Other Kallot are invited to rent the bridal gowns / dresses at affordable prices.

That is our goal, of course we have a way to go before we can open for the Kallot (brides) to come and take a look, try them on and borrow or rent them.

The black bags show how to dresses were sent to us.

The image of a few of the dresses arranged in our Salon, shows a few more dresses.

We are very excited about this new addition to our work. We invite you to help us to make this happen and to move to the next level. We have set up another crowd fundraiser, please take a look, watch the video, read the information and help us to reach our goal. Please donate generously and share with your friends.

Thank you for your assistance. We look forward to updating you of the progress of our campaign and of course of the dresses

We are working on the NEXT phase of our Bridal Gowns!

It's about a month now since one of our volunteers notified us about the Bridal Gowns being sold at a low price. With YOUR help, we have obtained 60 of the Tzanua (Modest) bridal gowns. We are now working on the next phase. Some of the dresses are in need of dry cleaning, some need minor repairs. We also need two sturdy rails, a full length portable mirror, a mannequin and a few bridal veils. With this addition to our services, we need to expand and move our work to a more appropriate setting. We need YOUR help to make this happen.

If you believe in helping orphan Chatanim and Kallot, please join us to make this happen! You can assist with any of the following:

  • If you have a network of friends who believe in helping an orphan Kallah, please send us an email to be part of our list as we are busy preparing a crowd fundraiser and want it to be very successful. We need help to get the word out. Please let us know if you can assist in sharing our post / crowd fundraiser.

  • If you have a bridal veil that you no longer need and is in new or excellent condition, please be in touch to donate it.

  • If you have a modest bridal gown that you no longer need, please be in touch to donate it.

  • If you have the need for a gift, please purchase a gift from our Bayit Chadash store and help us to increase our sales.

  • If you have a child of 5-11 years, why not purchase our new book and help us increase sales as this is another way to help us reach our goal.

  • If you like the work of Chessed Ve'Emet, please send us an email or make a video to let us know why. We need more testimonials to help our crowd fundraiser to be a great success.

  • If you have the need for photography, please book the services of Shear Success Photographers. Giving us your business, helps us to earn what we need to purchase the office equipment and make our next move.

  • Interested in learning Torah, sign up for a Torah shiur with Rabbi Eliyahu Shear. His Torah learning is inspiring and full of wisdom. He also has an amazing sense of humour and is a patient teacher.
Thanks for your support and your interest in our work. We look forward to sharing more updates.

Progress of our Bridal Gown Gemach

Last week we posted about our Bridal Gowns and have had some responses. We have quite a way to go still. In the image above you can see six of the bridal gowns on our small rail next to the few Simchah gowns that we have available for rental. Sadly, only six of them fit comfortably. If we squeeze them up, perhaps we can fit another two on, but we do not want the rail to begin to sag.

We are in need of two sturdy rails, a full length portable mirror, a mannequin, some full length bags that zip to protect the bridal gown when in transit and some veils.

Imagine the joy to an orphan Kallah of being able to borrow her bridal gown and accessories for her special day. Please join us in increasing the joy for Kallot who do not have one or both parents to help them. Being an orphan is hard enough, at least we can ease their heartache and bring in joy by making their special day the start of a solid and good beginning into married life.

We will also be needing volunteers as we progress further in this important work.

Thank you to all who have participated already. To anyone else interested in assisting us to develop our Bayit Chadash Gemach further, we say a very big thank you in advance of your assistance and contribution. If you live in Canada, we are currently working on the opportunity to provide tax receipts for Canadian donations. Please be in touch if you would like to assist or know any Canadians who would.

Have a blessed day

How Would You Like to Help Orphan Kallot?

Imagine helping an orphan Kallah to have the opportunity to wear a beautiful bridal gown for only ₪100. Not her expense but a gift from YOU to her.

Every Jewish woman wants to feel like a queen on her wedding day. Every Jewish woman wants to feel special as she comes to Chuppah. For an orphan who lacks one or both parents, trying to find the means to provide for her wedding and begin her new home can seem impossible.

At Chessed Ve'Emet, we assist orphan Chatanim and Kallot with new items to begin their new home. We have service providers who assist too, mostly as a Chessed. Now we are adding 60 bridal gowns that have been available for us to purchase from a store that is closing at the cost of ONLY ₪100 a bridal gown. We need to cover just 18 of these dresses and then two sturdy stands, a full length mirror and a few other details to be able to set up our Bridal Gown Gemach for our orphan Kallot.

Please help us to make this special service a reality. Donations made via check can receive a tax receipt.

Time is of the essence, be in touch if you can assist.

Thank you for your kindness

Baby Learns to Crawl to get to her Dog

If a child is raised with a pet in the home that has been trained, the child can grow to love animals and nature. Take a look at this little baby and her patient dog. What a great incentive for the baby and good tummy time that usually naturally leads to crawling.
